This day involved around 3000 ft elevation gain and about the same in descent. According to the guide I have, the terrain is the most challenging of the entire 800km of the Camino Norte. All the rain I have been getting has made the day much more difficult. The waymarking is poor on the stretch of trail and so I got loss again, this time with some Spaniards I thought knew where they were going. We could see where the trail markings were painted over with fresh paint supposedly by some people from a competing town according to the Spaniards.
