I went to the US consulate today to see what support they might offer. Seriously, they offered me a McDonalds coupon for a Happy Meal. But unfortunately the office was moving across town and all the coupons were over there.
The officer was kind enough to write an email to LAN asking WTF on my luggage. I figure an email from the US Consulate might be motivation for Pedro at LAN to get off his arse and provide some results. Apparently LAN has a reputation for poor customer service.
