It was a 6 hour flight. Staying in Quito that night, my body had a hard time adjusting to the 10k ft elevation difference. Now I am back to sea level where I like it. I took a different plane for 2.5 hours on to Buenos Aires.
I sat at the very last row of the plane. This made for a very bumpy ride as it is the least stable area of the plane. I did have quite a bounce as we flew through a thunder cloud. After flying 6 hours, it seemed like much of South America is marsh e g Amazon.
