Oct 23: inside the church

The columns resemble trees, tapering the higher they get and branching twd the top to provide a forest canopy effect. Plus Gaudi tried to minimize the columns shading effect toward the top to allow more natural light in. The inner columns happen to be red because it is a denser stone designed to be more weight bearing. The bulges in the columns represent tree noughts. Everywhere you look inside and outside the church in the most significant way (eg each tower representing someone), to a plain display (eg representing a biblical story) and to the most minute detail (eg the mosaics giving color to the fruit baskets outside) mean something.
