As I was climbing the local Salta mountain, I came across this guy who was picking up the trash along the trail. He had separate bags for recycling. First, I was surprised to see ANYONE picking trash up as it seems the people spend most of their time littering their parks. As I struggled to understand what and why he was doing it, I asked if he was employed by the City of Salta. He wasn't. He said that each time he bends down to pick up trash, he bends down for the health of the earth. And each time he straightens himself from picking up the trash, he does it for his own personal health.
